Changing to a personalized domain

  If I change my free domain to a personalized one like, will the former url still work for ancient visitors and will the visitors statistics change?

  Yep! If you register a domain for your site (at https://wordpress.com/domains/), anyone who visits your older URL will be seamlessly redirected to your new domain name.
