Changing to my own domain

I am trying to set up my blog to my own easily domain. I have bought credits and followed all the steps but when I try to update my primary domain in settings the screen goes blank and when I try my website it just goes to the old site content I had, not my wordpress blog. Have I done something wrong or is it a case of it will take a little while to register?

Yes, a lame answer with that link, and a bad impression of this forum. This place is the best I’ve seen in a long time. And sorry I don’t know the answer to your question.
It would be a good idea for you to link your name to your blog though. Here is how:
“2. How to make your name link to your blog:
Go into your dashboard -> users -> your profile -> then scroll down to ‘contact info’. In the spot where it says ‘website’ fill in the address of your blog and save the changes.
Now… when you comment here and on other blogs, your name will link to your blog. If you do this before you post your request for help, it will allow forum volunteers to be able to help you quicker since they won’t have to ask you for a link and wait until you come back to post one.”

Please give us your domain name that you’re trying to use AND the one at WP.com, starting with http. Also, let us know which browser and version you’re using. Sometimes that’s a factor.
Also: do try the Cookie Dance: log out, clear browser cache and cookies, restart computer.

Thanks for the messages, I have left it over night and now have an update
My website is
http://www.thelibrarynook.co.uk- If I type that in it goes to the old content on my website.
If I leave off the www so just do thelibrarynook.co.uk I get my blog content!If this is normal than fine, I just need to remember to leave off the www!

It’s just taking time to settle in. It’s working for me now on the w’less one. Give the other a few hours to update and it should work.
