Changing to Vista probs

    Please HELP! I’m going potty.
I’ve been blogging for over a year (http://dickiebo.wordpress.com) and have just gone over to Windows Vista. When I ‘browse’ to upload a picture from my Microsoft Digital Image Library, the Windows Photo Gallery opens, and I can’t access the library to get the pictures that I require. I have tried changing the Default Programmes to have MS Library as the default, but to no avail. If anyone can help me, then you will have the certain knowledge that you have saved my sanity. Many thanks.

Vista is the problem. Everything I hear about it is nothing but bad.

What browser? If IE, have you tried Firefox?

What happens when you do try to access the library? Error message? Nothing comes up? Endless loop in the browser?

If you give me step by step what you did, I can try to see if I can replicate it. I have Vista Home Premium and Firefox 2 installed.

And yeah, Vista is a PITA. My answer for Vista problems is Fedora :)

katm; many thanks indeed for your kind offer. I think I have now solved the prob.
I go into Digital Photo Library/Select picture/Open/Select Paint/File – Save as/Click the Save As Type List/Click type of file such as jpeg/Save. Seems to work OK.
Many thanks indeed for your kind offer of help – just when I was contemplating irrevocable retirement from blogging!!

Sounds like some sort of strange extension issue where images aren’t getting an extension. Yeah. Vista definitely can drive you batty.

Glad you got it sorted though.
