changing to white writing on a black background

    I use Quintus. I also bought the $99 package for my blog. I would like to make my blog writing area white writing on a black background but I also want to keep the edges picture which is Yosemite. Can I do this somehow? How do I do it? Can I go somewhere for help to get this changed?

    If I understand correctly you are referring to the background of the main content area? which is grey now. And you want to change this into a black background with a white font?

    The code below makes the content area black. You can add this to your Customizer -> CSS:

    #page {
    background-color: #000;
    }

    Then you can go to Customizer -> Colors in order to change the colors of your font.

    I spent $99 on this blog but the “Save” button is not highlighted! It should still be valid. I only bought it a couple of months ago.

    You’ll need to copy/paste or type the CSS code in the editor first, and then the [Save] button will highlight.

    I did copy / paste the code in, but the Save button would not highlight.
    Also, I did take out all the css introduction information out of the CSS writing area before I pasted the code in that you sent me. Can you please look at the CSS on my blog yourself?

    I took a look and everything is working properly. I’m able to add/adjust the CSS on your blog.

    Do you also encounter this issue in a different browser? for example Chrome or Google Chrome?

    Thank you!

    I’m sorry, but I do not have access. I tried these and I still don’t have access. Can WordPress look into this for me? I don’t know what to do.

  • Hi there, if you go to Appearance > Customize, you should arrive at this page:

    If you hover over the black sidebar, it should turn turquoise. Are you then able to click on the CSS tab, as you see here:

    Also, I did take out all the css introduction information out of the CSS writing area before I pasted the code in that you sent me.

    That’s fine – those are just comments and can be removed, or if you want, you can leave them and add your CSS below that.

    Once you add some CSS, the Save button should become clickable. I just saved a test comment that you can look at.

    Would you mind confirming that you did add some new CSS before trying to click the Save button, in addition to removing the existing green comments? Thanks!
