  I’m interested in changing the URL for my website. Is there a way to do that without losing content?

  Sure thing. On our servers, use these steps:
  https://wordpress.com/support/changing-site-address/

  You could also add a custom domain with a paid plan. That would redirect your old site address to the new one.
