changing url

  The current site is savelipa.wordpress.com. I want it to just be saveli.wordpress.com but that doesn’t seem possible without deleting this site first since you’re only allowed two free sites. Is there any way to just change the url?

  I found this article describing the process for how to change a URL, but I’m trying this now myself and it looks like this article may now be out of date…

  The article isn’t outdated. The address saveli.wordpress.com cannot be registered. Sorry, that site is reserved! But you can sign up and choose another one.

  Hi there,

  As @staartmees indicated, the address, saveli.wordpress.com, is reserved, so you won’t be able to use it at all. Only the account with the username, saveli can register or change to that blog address.

  So I’m afraid you’ll need to pick a different address in this case.

  since you’re only allowed two free sites

  I’m not sure where you got this information, but there’s no limit on how many free sites you can have in your account.

  I hope this is how to reply. Thank you all for taking the time to reply! I just kept fiddling around last night and finally figured out what to do. It told me that saveli was gone so I switched it completely to connectli since that’s really the desire for the site – to connect the dots between education, energy, and the environment to climate change. So I’m happy at this point and not being able to get saveli ended up being for the better. We still need to save Long Island since NOAA has listed us as the #2 hotspot in the country for climate change disasters but connectli leaves it open to more related topics. Again, thank you!
