Changing URL

I recently tried to change the website/URL address from the one I initially chose to a different one within three days of creating the website. Now when I go to the one I first created, it still says it will be up and running soon. But when I try to go to the one I wanted to replace it with, it says there is no such address. I tried to make this change on the ‘my site’ tab under settings two weeks ago and nothing has changed. What can I do to change the website name?

The current domain is called myescapefromla.com, however when I try to register a new URL called forgettingtofloss.com under the myescapefromla.com domain (on the bluehost website) it will not let me do so. It is a WordPress.com hosted site and not WordPress.org. Thanks so much!

You’ve just mentioned trying to register the domain on Bluehost and I can also see that the domain myescapefromla.com is pointing there – this site is hosted on Bluehost and not on WordPress.com.
