allaboutanimals.wordpress.com is no longer available.
The authors have deleted this site. That’s not possible. You cannot recover or register any deleted blog URL. Deleted blog URLs are not recycled, regardless of who registered and deleted them and no exceptions are made.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/recycling-blog-names/To prevent accidental or inadvertent deletion of blogs, there are multiple warnings given that blog deletion is permanent and irreversible. Lastly, a verification link is sent in an email and it must be clicked to delete a blog. If clicking that link does not work then copy and paste it into your upper browser window and click. Once the verification link for deletion is clicked the blog URL is forever gone, gone, gone.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/delete-site/You can register another .wordpress.com blog http://en.support.wordpress.com/register-a-blog/
Then if you wish to you can register a domain via a domain mapping upgrade because it does not matter what the underlying .wordpress.com address is when you are domain mapping.

If you want to change the blog address ie. the URL starting with http:// then you must be logged in as Admin under the exact same username account that registered the blog to do that and the URL you desire must be available. If so then you can change the URL by using this guide

The “allaboutanimals” was never registered, so it’s not deleted. I want to change the name of my current URL to “allaboutanimals”, but don’t want to lose my content. If necessary, I’m happy to upgrade to get the new site/url name with my content intact

Oh yes it was registered and deleted.
http://allaboutanimals.wordpress.com is no longer available.

http://allaboutanimals.com is already owned by someone else and is hosted by Dosarrest Internet Security
http://allaboutanimals.net us available for registration.

You could register http://allaboutanimals.net/ In order to map to a domain one must have an underlying .wordpress.com subdomain blog to map from and the domain name you desire must be available for purchase, or you must already own the domain URL.
You must be logged in as Admin http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator under the exact same username account that registered the blog to access the blog’s dashboard at > Store > My Upgrades to purchase a domain name by purchasing an annually renewable domain mapping upgrade for the blog. See here if you do not own a domain http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/
After you do the primary blog set up it can take between 24 – 72 hours for domain name propagation to take place throughout the internet. You can view the DNS changes here > http://www.whatsmydns.net/ What’s important during that stage is to be patient.

I’m trying to change the URL, but when it comes to “matching username?” I chose “Change your current username (leiladehghan) and discard the current account. (You will not be able to change your username back)”, but it doesn’t let me move on!

Hi Leila,
I see that you successfully changed your site’s address to allaboutmyanimalfriends.wordpress.com. You’re all set with that. :)
If you’d like the matching username allaboutmyanimalfriends, I can also set you up with a new account with that username. In that case, please let me know what email address you’d like to use with that account and I can set that up for you.
