Changing URL and Username?

    Hi!

    I want to change my blog URL and name. I tried once and it was successful, but when I searched again, the URL was actually taken by someone else. How do I know if the URL is already taken? Will wordpress notify me or do I have to find out for myself?

    Also, when I wanted to change my username, it wouldn’t let me. I clicked the “change” button right next to the “public username” and itjust re-directed me back to the same page. I tried this several times but it wouldn’t work. I’m new- I just started yesterday. Someone please help?

    The software will let you know ehether or not a URL is available. However, there’s currently a problem with the change a username function that Staff are aware of and working on. As that thread is an active thread that you can post your infromation into, I’ll flag this thread for closure.
