Changing URL but will 'lose' Followers
-
I’ve written in about this before but I haven’t received a conclusive answer. I have 2 different blogs on wordpress.com. I changed the URL on one of them(vancity604.wordpress.com to vancity888.wordpress.com) and when I publish a new post it doesn’t show up on the ‘reader’ of my other blog(nosajnawk.wordpress.com) which is a ‘follower.’
I published a post last night and again just now. I was told that new posts should appear in the ‘reader’ of your followers and that you were going to look into this. Is it something that is being worked on or is this how it’s going to be? Thank you.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I changed the URL on one of them(vancity604.wordpress.com to vancity888.wordpress.com)
It appears that the issue is that you didn’t change the URL of vancity604.wordpress.com, but rather you started a whole new site called vancity888.wordpress.com. And while you are a follower of vancity604.wordpress.com, you are not a follower of vancity888.wordpress.com. So anything published on vancity888.wordpress.com will not show up on your reader.
If you go to vancity888.wordpress.com you should be able to follow it.

I didn’t start a whole new site. I only changed the URL and nosajnawk.wordpress.com is following vancity888.wordpress.com but the posts aren’t showing on the reader.
My main concern is that if I change my URL, all my readers will not see my new posts even though they are technically still following.

I’m afraid this isn’t the case. If you go to both sites, you can see that they both exist:
https://vancity604.wordpress.com/
https://vancity888.wordpress.com/
That would not be the case if you had changed the name/URL.
If you go here:
https://wordpress.com/following/edit
….do you see https://vancity888.wordpress.com/ listed?
