changing url for a page

  Hi,

  I’ve done some searching, but can’t find the answer to my question anywhere, so hoping someone can help me.

  I’ve created a few pages for my blog and then have made several changes to the page names, but can’t seem to change the url for the page. For example, I had a blog page and then added another blog page to try something different. I deleted the first blog page, so my existing blog has the url pawsmiri.com/blog-2. Obviously I would rather lose the ‘2’. I’ve tried changing the permalink at the top of the page in edit mode, as well as the slug, but neither seem to work. I’m pretty sure I must be missing something obvious here…

  Any ideas?

  My guess is you didn’t delete the page, you just sent it to Trash. If so, go to Pages > All Pages, click Trash, hover over page name, click Delete Permanently.
