changing url name

  I want to change the name of my wordpress blog. Not only to get rid of the wordpress but a totally different name. I have gone through the ‘edit site address’ route on domains link. I have found an address that is available. My question! I am not sure by clicking ADD if this url address is the new name for my blog (this is what I want) or if I am registering a totally new site( which i dont want.)
