changing url of blog

  hi, I’m trying to change the name of my blog from http://projectmanagerpro.wordpress.com/ to http://commerceimpact.wordpress.com/. can you pint me to how I can do this? thx.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  First of all, realize that neither you nor anyone else can ever use the original URL again if you do this. For this reason above all others (and there are many others) I suggest simply registering the new URL as a new blog and Importing your content into it. Then set the old one to Private.

  I would like to change the name, but the page referenced in the link you provided is different from what I see when I go to home / my blogs.

  Still waiting for a reply to this question – I need to change the name of my blog but the UI is not providing the steps you indicated.

  Hello there,

  If you want to change the .wordpress.com blog address ie. the URL starting with http:// then you must be logged in as Admin under the exact same username account that registered the blog to do that and the URL you desire must be available. If so then you can change the URL by using this guide http://en.support.wordpress.com/changing-blog-address/

  Thx for reply – I’m logging in with the only userID/pwd combo I have at WP so don’t know if I’m admin user or just user. trying to upload image of what I see here but don’t see option to do that. I go to my blogs and select the blog I want to change I see nothing resembling changing blog url as shown in the help page you mentioned.

  From there, hover your cursor under the blog address for the blog you wish to change, and you should get a link to “change blog address” there.
