  hello,
  i don’t intend to close account however was looking for away to change my user name and failed, thought closing and reopening is an option

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  There are actually two different things:

  – “display name” (easy to change): https://en.support.wordpress.com/change-your-username/#change-display-name-nickname

  – “username” (a bit more complex to change): https://en.support.wordpress.com/change-your-username/#change-username
