Changing user passwords doesn't work properly, assigned by wordpress not by user's choice

    I’m using a wordpress dating site after making a user account on my site during testing as a user when trying to change my password, in place be given a choice to change my password to what I’d like it to be, I’m being send a link from wordpress. I click the link I’m given through email and in place of being able to change the password though my site I end up on wordpress where there is a password that’s already generated by wordpress. at the wordpress signin page. Is there a way to correct this?

    We provide support only for wordpress.COM hosted sites and that one is not among them. Our support docs do not apply to
    (1) local installs of wordpress.ORG software on your own server or
    (2) wordpress.ORG software installs on paid hosting, and we do not provide support for them at wordpress.COM.

    Also, note that we do not provide Jetpack support https://jetpack.me/support/ for sites linked to wordpress.COM accounts with the Jetpack plugin.

    You are posting to the wrong support forum.

    WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums.     As you are referring to a site that is not hosted here, if you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG account, then click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right-hand corner of the page that opens, https://wordpress.org/support/register.php so you can post to the support forums there.
