Changing username

I see that we can now change our username and blog URL. I have more than one blog with the same username, so does changing the username on ONE blog mean it will change on all the connected blogs? I want to change the username and URL on ONE specific blog but don’t want it to change on the others. Thank you.

This is news to use Volunteers as well. I believe that changing the username will result in the same username change appearing on all blogs registered to that username. Only Staff can confirm if that is so or not. http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/

Oh that’s a shame as i only want to change one blog. Thinking about it now though it does seem logical that the username would have to change on all connected blogs. Thank you for your time.

If you are really determined to do this what you could do is register another username with a different email address, add the new user as an Admin, and transfer the blog between Admins. http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/#transferring-your-blog-to-another-user-or-account

Thank you for that information. The thing is i wanted to change the URL. It’s OK it’s not my primary blog and i’m just going to set it to private and use it as a test blog instead. Thanks for all your help, much appreciated.
