changing username – broken

i have followed the second portion of this support documentation to change my username, unfortunately the page just flickers a few times and does not display the text boxes to change my username.

It’s possible that you may have a browser related issue. Have you tried clearing your browser cache and cookies?

i have the same problem… cookies and cache have nothing to do with this. can anyone answer this?

@readingbible, @greenmiller and @wbax – we’re going to look into this further.
For now, we need more information, so it would be really helpful if you would please try the following:
1) clear your browser cache if you haven’t already tried this;
2) try a different browser ( go to http://browsehappy.com/ to get a different browser);
3) report back here with your OS, browser/browser version that didn’t work, and if you are successful, which browser did work.

As a follow up, I was able to replicate the issue myself. It’s been reported and hopefully we can get a quick fix.
It will still be helpful to know which browsers you’re using and if you have any luck with other browsers.

Unfortunately, you question is off topic in this thread. There is no blogger created content to delete in the blog linked to your username. If you are referring to another free hosted WordPress.com blog you can bulk delete the contents yourself:
bulk delete posts > http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/edit-posts-screen/#bulk-edit
Bulk delete pages > http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/edit-pages-screen/#bulk-edit

Which versions of Safari and Chrome are you using please? The version numbers are important information. -
I’ve tried on Google Chrome (18.0.1025.168), Firefox (12.0) and IE (8.0.7601.17514) run on a Windows 7, and none of them work.

I’ve got the same problem. I’m on a MacBook Pro running Mac Os 10.6.8, and have tried using Firefox 12.0 and Safari 5.1.7, same result.

This is obviously not a problem on the user end of things. I have a professional column starting and I need to change the username. If I can the name I might even upgrade! Someone should really get on this.
