changing username – what about old posts?
-
I am co-blogging with someone else. He started with his real name as username and then had second feelings and would like to use a pseudonym. He has already set up a different account with a new username.
What can be done about his old posts – there are about 10 of them. Do we have to copy and repost them under the new username? This would change the time-stamp and upset the chronology, wouldn’t it? Is there a more elegant way to do it?
Thanks for your response

Rather than changing the actual username I would just change how it is displayed publicly:
There are still a few places the original username is used, but it is minimal. If you really want a different user, assuming that new user is already a user on the blog, you will need to edit each post, change the post author to the new user, and re-save the post. The timestamps will not change, but some RSS readers may see the post as “updated”
