Changing usernames

    I have 2 accounts. This one (jordoex) is the older one, and I’m trying to rename it to forivall. However, I created an account with the name forivall some years ago, and just now changed it to forivallcom. But now, if I try to change this account’s name, it says that it’s already taken.

    Does it just take time to propagate the changes?

    Hi there,

    It is not possible to unassign a username so another account can use it. By changing from forivall to forivallcom you have permanently removed forivall from our system, as was stated in the warnings that appeared when you confirmed the change. There is no way for anyone, including you, to use that username again.

    The warnings, iirc, didn’t indicate that the username would be forever unusable.
