Changing viewers to authors

  I have a private blog for my students. I inadvertently invited them as viewers.
  I would like to change their role, but they only show up on my past invitee’s list.
  How do I change their roles?

  Hi there. I don’t think you can change someone from a viewer to a contributor, so you’ll need to re-invite them as contributors under Users ->Add new in the dashboard: http://en.support.wordpress.com/adding-users/

  I don’t know if you’ll have to remove them as viewers first, but the instructions for doing that is in the same support doc.
