Changing web host

  Hello! I currently have a website that’s hosted by Go Daddy and want to move it to Word Press. I think I originally purchased the domain through Go Daddy as well.

  How do I move my hosting to WP?

  Let me know if you are looking to use the WordPress installation or WordPress.com. These are 2 different things.

  WordPress.com vs. WordPress.org

  Hi Liz, thanks for the reply! I think just WordPress.com but would upgrade to use my own domain, since my business is already establish and I want to keep that.

  Ok cool. No problem, you can definitely use your domain through domain mapping.

  The first step is to pick which plan is going to fit your needs. Check them out at wordpress.com/pricing/ and let me know if you have any questions about those details.

  After you’ve added the plan to the account you’ll set up domain mapping. Here’s how you do it: https://en.support.wordpress.com/map-existing-domain/
