Changing website providers

  Hi
  How do I keep my existing website domain, i am currently with Simplesite, but I want to change to wordpress, how do I do this? It seems complicated.

  Hi Amy,

  you can create your new site here on WordPress.com and transfer the domain as explained here:

  https://en.support.wordpress.com/move-domain/incoming-domain-transfer/

  The domain transfer is included in the price of the plan you chose, you’ll only start paying for the domain registration after the first year.
  As for moving your site, you can export your content and import it as explained here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/import/
