changing welcome text

can anyone tell me how to delete or change the text (the welcome text for lack of a better term) at the top of my blog page that says, “Hey there! Thanks for dropping by digiratus! Take a look around and grab the RSS feed to stay updated. See you around!” ???? I think it a little bit on the impersonal side and I’d like to either change it or just get rid of it. Changing it would be the best option. Please help
