Changing widgets with themes

    Present theme of my blog

    is Rubric(I think).
    When I try to change theme to some of the available ones(evev default one), the theme changes alright, but the widgets dont.I have tried going to Edit and choose/save the widgets afresh, but nothing happens.Can someone please help?

    Widgets are not supposed to change when you change themes. They’re supposed to transfer over, unless you’ve gone from a widget-enabled theme to one of the few that does not support widgets.

    Or do you mean your widgets are not coming with you? Which theme are you trying to use?

    That didn’t apply to all pairs of themes anyway. But unfortunately with 2.7 we’ve got a new complication: you must remove all widgets in the old theme, save changes, then switch to the new one and add the ones you want.

    And be careful with text widgets: copy their content and paste it in a simple text editor before you switch.
