Changing WordPress address
-
I currently have my blog at http://baseballsolutions.wordpress.com. However, I want to change that to MGLbaseball.wordpress.com. I want to move my blog over there without constructing a new blog. How do I do that? I also purchased the domain name MGLbaseball.org.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
Everything you need to know about moving your blog is under this support document:

Let me know if you still need any further help
Thanks,

Thanks Andy. I changed my blog address to a new one. Now, I want to redirect traffic from the old one to the new one, but when I try and purchase a redirect upgrade, it only let’s me redirect FROM the new one not FROM the old one TO the new one. How do I redirect traffic FROM the old one TO the new one?

I am really confused. So far, typing in mglbaseball.org (which I purchased) takes me to my blog at mglbaseball.wordpress.com. Fine.
Typing in baseballsolutions.org also takes me to my new blog address, mglbaseball.wordpress.com, which is also fine.
But, I want to redirect traffic from my old blog address, baseballsolutions.wordpress.com to the new blog address, mglbaseball.wordpress.com and I cannot figure out how to do that. When I changed names I made sure that I did not check the box to get rid of the old blog address.

Ok, I got it! I needed to type in the old blog address and then click on “get started” (like I was starting a new blog), then go to the “redirect upgrade.”
I did all that and I am all set.
You really need to explain how to do that on your forums about redirecting and changing blog names. It was really confusing and I just stumbled on the solution.

Hi MGL,
Thanks for the feedback, I will see about updating the support document to be a bit clearer around the redirect part. Glad you got it worked out.
