Changing WordPress Blog Theme

Hello.
I have been trying to change my web blog theme on wordpress.com. When I come to choose a different theme and activate it I find that my web blog seems to have the same original theme it had previously. The theme just does not seem to change, I also find that i can not see the posts that I have been posting on my blog. The only things that seems different is the header and the header image. On this blog the heading is: Engines and Parts and the image is of a man working on a engine. Im finding it difficult to understand why the theme will not change and my posts will not show, there should be 2 posts available to read. I have a Free Plan with wordpress.com and here is the blog in question: https://engines851537915.wordpress.com/

Hi @tradinghobbies, it kinda sounds like you’re hoping to change the front page content rather than the theme itself, is that correct?
If you want to show the latest posts, like the Penscratch theme does, go to My Site > Customize > Front Page Settings.
Change that to Latest Posts and you should be good to go. Let us know if you need more help!

Thank you for helping me, Im sorry its taken so long to respond to your post things have been rather busy lately to say the least. As you can tell I am newbie to wordpress.com and only just begining to get to know it, I changed to WordPress thinking it might be better than Blogger. Many thanks for the help :)

Want to add that, while WordPress is more complex, and might take a while to learn, it’s definitely better than Blogger. I moved my site here from Blogger years ago and have never looked back :)

Hello and Thank You for your previous replies :) Once I have built up this blog into a fine working interesting blog. Considering it is only a Free Plan i am using, is it possible to submit this blog to Amazon Associates Affiliate Programe and possibly place Amazon ads on this blog.

Thank you :) At this moment in time i have a fair bit of work to do on my blog before i even think of submitting it to amazon affiliates. Is there any particular reason why i shouldn’t focus on them at this moment in time other than the fact i need to spend time on my blog?

Mostly just that you’ll need traffic to make those affiliate links worthwhile, and you’ll need content to get traffic and subscribers. :)
