Changing WordPress domain name

  Hello. I currently have blog for a group I work with, but we’ve changed our name, and are keen to change the wordpress.com name as well, to match this. If I change the xxxxx bit in xxxxx.wordpress.com, will our blog posts, media etc. still be there, just with a different name, or will our history be lost?
