Changing wordpress domain url

  I recently bought the domain above: http://lawfirmpracticemanagementadvice.com.

  But I toyed with calling it http://www.lawfirmpracticemanagementstips.com at first. So, I initially set up the free wordpress site http://www.lawfirmpracticemanagementstips.wordpress.com, but ultimately bought http://www.lawfirmpracticemanagementadvice.com.

  How do I change http://www.lawfirmpracticemanagementstips.wordpress.com to http://www.lawfirmpracticeadvice.wordpress.com. It won’t let me do it… This just redirects to http://www.lawfirmpracticemanagementadvice.com. But it’s weird that one domain says “advice” and the other says “tips.”

  You can change a site address ending in wordpress.com by following the steps here:

  http://en.support.wordpress.com/changing-blog-address/

  Please note that the final step in changing your site address allows you to keep or discard the old address. If you are changing your site address so that you can use the address for a new site, please be sure to keep the old address.

  Hi! I’m trying to change my url, and when I choose a name, which matches the name of my blog, it says that this name, is already “reserved”.

  The name of my blog is “De plano.” and i’m trying the url to be the same: deplano.wordpress.com

  What can I do? Could it be that it’s reserved, because that´s the name of my blog?

  The problem is I messed this up. What I did is also create http://www.lawfirmpracticemanagementadvice.wordpress.com, but I deleted it. I then bought the domain under http://www.lawfirmpracticemanagementtips.wordpress.com. Since I had bought http://www.lawfirmpracticemanagementadvice.wordpress.com, and deleted it, it won’t let me change the “tips” domain to it because it shows that it is taken.

  I was just waffling on the url name and kept going back and forth on it. That caused the problem.

  Site deletions are permanent. You will not be able to use the lawfirmpracticemanagementadvice.wordpress.com address again.

  However, you have added the lawfirmpracticemanagementadvice.com custom domain to lawfirmpracticemanagementtips.wordpress.com. The domain lawfirmpracticemanagementadvice.com is what visitors to your site see. You will only see the lawfirmpracticemanagementtips.wordpress.com address when you’re administering your site.

  Also, I’ve removed and refunded the WordPress.com Premium Plan that was associated with your deleted site, kirkstange.wordpress.com. Please keep in mind that it takes 1-2 weeks for the transaction to show up on your financial statement.

  That address is reserved for the WordPress.com user deplano. However, deplano.org is available and you can add it to your site here:

  https://deplanowp.wordpress.com/wp-admin/paid-upgrades.php?page=domains
