Changing wordpress name

    Good morning every one, this is my first visit here. Happy New Year.
    I just need a little advice please? My new year resolution is to enhance and update my site. I have had my name forwarded and a site with wordpress for a number of years but now am thinking of upgrading to pro. If I did would my name address just be tonymoon.com? What are the real advantages of upgrading? Have many of you upgraded?

    Note that none of the plans allow you to run advertising or to upload your own themes or plugins. WordPress.com blogs cannot be equipped for eCommerce transactions. If you need a site that requires a custom theme or plugins — e.g., if you want to be able to sell things directly from your site, or if you want to install discussion forums — a self-hosted WordPress site might be right for you.

    I recommend purchasing domain from the get go.
    In order to map to a domain one must have an underlying .wordpress.com subdomain blog to map from and the domain name you desire must be available for purchase.

    If you have registered a .wordpress.com blog you log in as Admin under the exact same username account that registered the blog and purchase a domain name by purchasing an annually renewable domain mapping upgrade for the blog.
