Changing WordPress Plans

I am interested in signing up for WordPress Premium for one year to host a website – but I would like to downgrade to a free plan in one year. What would happen to our website? Could we just switch to a free theme and still keep all of our content? Also- if we own a domain, what would happen to it? Would we have to switch it to a XYZ.wordpress.com domain address?

You can downgrade to a cheaper plan, but that requires staff assistance. Also note that if you downgrade outside the refund period of a plan, we might not be able to give a refund anymore for the difference in cost, so downgrading is best done when a plan is about to renew.
