changing wp website address

  i know i cannot change my username…

  but can i change my website address? just by typing in something different? will it then change the location of my blog? and will all of my information and posts still be there? or will it all be lost?

  At the moment this option is not available. If you change the URL then the blog will seem to disappear.

  It won’t ACTUALLY go anywhere you just won’t be able to get to it and will need to contact the admin team to sort it.

  One of the options that (it is rumoured) to be offered for the paid version of the application is for your own domain name to point to your wp.com blog. Unfortuantely we don’t have any timescale or cost information at the moment.
