Chaning the e-mail address

  • Unknown's avatar

I have some WordPress sites under the e-mail address (email visible only to moderators and staff). The e-mail addrees had to be closed due to a conflict of interests. I cannot log into these sites. How do I changed the e-mail address from (email visible only to moderators and staff) to (email visible only to moderators and staff)?

    WP.com: Yes
    Correct account: Unknown

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hi there,

If you don’t have access to the email address associated with that account, in order to regain access to it, we’ll need one of the following things:

    * A transaction ID for any upgrades purchased for the account

    https://en.support.wordpress.com/transaction-id/

    * The WordPress.com account activation link, which we sent to your email address when you first registered with us.

For more information please read our Account Recovery guide:

I do not have this link for (email visible only to moderators and staff) anymore

It looks like I must copy the information from the sites created under zs4bfn@mweb and create new sites on (email visible only to moderators and staff). It will probably be easier than trying to get the e-mail address changed!

Why must it always be such a shleep?

When you sign up for a WordPress.com account, we only ask for an email address to verify the account. The email address registered with your WordPress.com account is your unique identifier. This is how we are able to verify ownership of blogs and accounts.

You can send an email to passwordhelp (at) wordpress (dot) com explaining the situation, and we’ll see if there’s anything we can do for you. There’s no guarantee we can, but you can give it a shot.

    I hope that clarifies things.
