Chaos Theory theme turns chaotic on load
-
Hi,
I’ve a question for you. I’m trying to implement the ‘Chaos Theory’ theme on cyberanthro.net. When I preview it it works fine, when I use it and look at the main page it works for a few seconds until some element of it loads and then it messes the whole thing up. Any idea what that may be?
Is there some piece of html or something that I am using that ruins the lay out?
Thanks a lot

Since it’s not currently set to Chaos Theory, it’s hard to see the problem and speculate on the possible cause. Could you be more specific about “messed up?”

Thanks for doing that. Now change it back, because you’re right, it looks awful.
I think this needs a staff fix. Something is preventing that blog from accessing any of the CSS for that theme. Contact them at http://support.wordpress.com/contact and send them all details including a link to this thread.

Issue resolved in a support ticket submitted by the OP, in case anybody else is experiencing a similar issue: If you have the Custom CSS Upgrade (like the blog above), make sure that you modify it when you switch to a new theme or simply reset it. To reset your theme’s CSS, simply remove all custom code from Appearance -> Edit CSS and click “Save Stylesheet”.

Hi,
I contacted support, who asked for a screen shot of what I see when Chaos Theory is jumbled. They then told me This is caused by the custom CSS code you have active at http:/ MY BLOG .wordpress.com/wp-admin/themes.php?page=editcss – you will need to either find the issue elements of the code or simply remove it all and click “Save Stylesheet” in order to reset it.
I removed it all and clicked save stylesheet and started again. It now works great. Hurrah!
