ChaoticSoul, two-columns custom header pic
-
How can I change the 2-columns header pic into just 1 column..I have a pic that must be in 1 piece.. not divided into 2..
Help!

You cannot do this without two things.
(1) css editing skills and the willingness to do the editing yourself as there is no staff support for learning css; and
(2) the css upgrade http://faq.wordpress.com/2007/10/18/about-the-custom-css-upgrade/ -
I see you posted a duplicate thread here, rather than returning to this one. Doing this is not a good idea it wastes volunteer time and creates confusion. https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic.php?id=18814
(1) This is your wordpress.com blog url http://cafegrace.wordpress.com/
(2) Do you or do you not have css editing skills?
(3) Have you or have you not purchased the css editing upgrade? -
I have some small css editing skills, I have not purchased the css editing upgrade yet, I do it when I know where in the stylesheet i must configure to change the custom header pic to 1 piece, not 2.

Don’t hold your breath for help on that one. I know some CSS and I wouldn’t have a clue where to start. Maybe there’ll be a CSS guru along soon or maybe there won’t. But you’re probably on your own.

Hello again,
rosclarke is correct about not holding your breath. Those who do have css skills tend to be professionals who are busy working with paying clients all day. From time to time one drops in and gives a hand. However, that does not happen frequently and when one does drop in it tends to be on weekdays in the evenings. Whil you are waiting, there are links to css resources you may want to consult here http://faq.wordpress.com/2006/08/15/where-can-i-find-css-customization-help/

To make the header image whole, just rem out the z index, as below:
#header-overlay { background: url('images/header_overlay.gif') no-repeat top left; width: 760px; height: 151px; /*z-index: 5;*/ position: absolute; top: 0; left: 0; } -
