character limitation in drop down menus within custom form?
-
Hi,
I inserted a custom form (on Get Secure page) and discovered that the drop-down field type (SELECT), limits the number of characters and wraps to another line after about the first 5-6. So, for example, if I wanted to place $ ranges in the drop-down, it will start to wrap if I enter something like: $250,000-$500,000. When I shortened it up, it displayed correctly, but this isn’t the ideal format to use. Is there are character limit or another field type that I can use for drop-downs in a custom form that won’t wrap?
Thank you…

I don’t think the dropdown should wrap for something like “$250,000-$500,000”. Can you update it that way so we can see the problem in action?

OK..I just changed it and think I know now what was causing the wrapping. I had commas separating the zeros, which I believe was causing it to be treated as a new option. Is there a way to still have commas show up on the page within the drop-down box? For example, $100,000-$250,000??

Not sure what to think of this response, other than it doesn’t apply to the question I raised…

If inserting commas causes a problem, you may have to ask staff directly:
