Charge for Connection

    Hello, I currently have a domain on godaddy that I would like to connect to my wordpress and I own it. The only issue I am running into is that with the guide unless I am missing it is that It is trying to make me upgrade to premium just to connect my domain. I cant do it unless I pay the $96 for one year? The current domain on this post is not the one I will be using. In simple terms. Shouldnt I be able to connect my domain for free or do I have to pay this $96 premium membership for one year just to connect my domain to wordpress. Please get back to me as soon as possible.

    Hi there!

    While it is true that you need a paid plan to be able to connect a custom domain to your site, it doesn’t have to be plan Premium. You can do the same with Personal as well:

    Plan Premium adds more features, but you can always upgrade if you feel you need them.

    You mentioned that the domain on this post is not the one you’ll be using going forward, can you elaborate on that? Are you planning on building a new site, and you’d like to connect the domain to that one?
