Charge for Domain Renewal

    I received an email saying I would be charged $18 for the domain renewal of thedailyjess.com. I now longer use this domain and I shut down the website months ago. I should be getting charged for this.

    Site: (email visible only to moderators and staff).
    WP.com: Unknown

    Correct account: Unknown

    Hi there,

    I do not see any upgrades under your @jessicaector WordPress.com account when I check on our end. You can confirm by visiting this page: https://wordpress.com/me/purchases/.

    Is it possible you made your purchase under a different login? I can confirm that thedailyjess.com is registered at WordPress.com but is under a different account and not your jessicaector login.

    Once you are logged in under the correct account, you will be able to cancel (the domain has not renewed yet) from this page: https://wordpress.com/me/purchases/

    Hello,

    Thank you for getting back with me. I do have another account but it with a different domain. The email I received specifically mentions thedailyjess.com and not the other domain. Additionally, when I try to log into the daily Jess administrative page, I get an a message saying the page no longer exist and the site is insecure. See below for the email I received

    The domain thedailyjess.com on the site “thedailyjess.com” will renew automatically in 30 days. You don’t have to do anything — this is just a reminder.

    You will be charged $18 for this renewal on August 12, 2021. This price does not include any applicable taxes which will vary based on your billing address. The charge will be made on your Visa and will appear in the statement as WPCHRG.COM.
