Charged 51 pounds

    Today I was charged 51 pounds from my bank account from ‘WORDPRESS [redacted]’. This was most likely from a domain name I purchased in 2020. Im unsure as to why I have been charged 51 pounds, as I never opted in to automatic renewal of the domain name.

    Whenever I attempt to login in to this account with the email (email visible only to moderators and staff) It says I do not have an account. Perhaps if I was able to login to this account I could’ve cancelled the automatic renewal which I never opted in to in the first place.

    I no longer use this domain name, and will require a full refund to my bank account within 3-5 working days.

    To know what a charge is all about, go to https://wpchrg.wordpress.com/. If you want a refund, you can use the contact form on that page to contact the billing team.
    A refund usually takes around 10 days for banks in the USA. Banks outside the USA usually need a lot more of time.

    Hi there,

    Please don’t post sensitive info like a transaction ID here in the forums. Anyone can use that information to claim ownership of your account.

    I see you’ve since gained access to that account and have cancelled your upgrades. You should receive the refund in about 10 business days, depending on your bank’s processing times.

    Please tag threads like these for staff. Especially in this case as the OP included a transaction ID and email address that 1) we need to redact, and 2) would have enabled us to answer their question without them needing to submit a separate support ticket :)
