Charged and dont know why – URGENT

So… this morning I woke up with an email from my bank stating that my credit card had been charged $1857 (that’s around $99 dollars) last night. I got really, really worried since I wasn’t shopping at 9 pm yesterday. I cancelled my credit card and filed a complaint not recognising those charges. Then I see your ‘notice’ email that I would have to renew in 1 month, I googled how WP charges appear on credit cards and turns out I was charged by you guys ahead of time even when I had erased my credit card information! I got on my WP account to check this and my credit card information is nowhere to be found like I thought, so how exactly did you do this!? Is it stored somewhere else???? This was a credit card I had attached to a number of services for automatic payments and it is going to be a major pain to link them all again, besides I am traveling soon and needed this card for expenses. What are you doing with my information?! How is this even possible? Please reply ASAP

Hi,
WordPress.com automatically renews all upgrades 30 days before they expire, but this shouldn’t happen if you removed your credit card details. Just to make sure, could you go to https://wordpress.com/me/billing and check if your credit card shows up or not?
I have tagged this thread for attention, and Staff will have a look.

Thanks, I did remove all of my credit card information… I opened a complaint and they’re following up. Thank you for your response and watch out on your next WP credit card charge :S
