Charged by paypal

My paypal account has been charged for the yearly fee however my plan has not been upgraded nor am I given the option to cancel the subscription. I have lodged a complaint through paypal however no one is responding to my queries. I wish to cancel my subscription and demand a refund of the yearly fee. I cannot cancel through ‘purchases’ because my site has not been upgraded even though the fee was charged through paypal. Can someone please advise how to go about this in circumstances where it seems I cannot contact wordpress directly through any means? I am getting very frustrated.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hi there,

The account you’re using to post here does not own any upgrades on WordPress.com, and there are no charges in your account history:

    https://wordpress.com/me/purchases/billing/

Do you have another WordPress.com username and site? You need to be logged in as the username that owns an upgrade in order to manage that upgrade.

Did you try going to the site indicated on your statement, WPCHRG.com, to search for the site the transaction was for? You can also contact us privately via that site so we can get information from you regarding the transaction that cannot be shared in the public forums.

Hi… My original account name was anonymouslytrapped.com. The original account was linked to my sole user name and password which is the same one I used to access the above account.

Once my yearly subscription expired, the name has reverted to the .wordpress.com domain. I cannot access my original domain. If you provide me with an email address I am happy to contact you privately, I am could not find any private contact details for me to do so.

I guess my concern is that although I do not appear to have an upgrade, I have been charged another year’s subscription to my upgraded account.

  • The domain, anonymouslytrapped.com, has never been connected to a WordPress.com site, neither to your account nor any other. That domain doesn’t appear to exist at all any more.

I’ve sent you an email to get more information so we can look for this charge in our system.
