Charged for an account I don’t have access to and no way to cancel it.
-
I used my credit card to pay for a website that was set up by someone else. We have not used this website in a year and I was under the impression we had canceled it. Our domain name, email, all of it have been canceled and yet a year later I get a large charge for an account I have no way of accessing, as it sends a login link to a custom host email that has been canceled and is not in use. I then try to find a way to resolve this issue and theres no way to “talk” to a real person without being a paid customer…but the only way I can login to WP is through a throwaway account (this one), because I don’t have access to the account that has been charged. You should be able to get assistance for this sort of thing without being a paid member…which I am just through an account I can’t access.
I have recommended WP to many people, used it several times over the past decade in different ways, but this just feels like a scam. IF…the guy managing it for me didn’t cancel the subscription, why is there no way for me to manage this or dispute it or contact someone to assist me with my issue? It should be easy enough to see the account hasn’t been accessed in a year and refund me or at the very least I need someone to cancel this thing so I wont continue to be charged for something I haven’t used. Where is the customer support?

before spinning a story and start accusing people, check that charge at https://wpchrg.wordpress.com/
