Charged for Premium when I don't use my blog

  • Unknown's avatar

Last night I was charged $99 for my blog that I have not used in almost a year. This is my fault because I completely forgot about upgrading to premium. However, I am in college and losing $99 is quite a big deal for me, especially since tuition is due in a couple of weeks. I will be deleting my site.. I haven’t used it since last summer and I will not be using it again. It was originally to display my photography but I have taken a break from that. Does anyone know if or how I can get my money refunded? I will gladly delete my site before I receive the refund if needed. I almost deleted it last night but I didn’t know if someone would need to look at my activity of the site to make sure I actually haven’t used it. I don’t really know what I am doing… I just know I would really appreciate a refund, and i will be deleting my site. So if anyone has any information of if and how I can receive the refund I will truly appreciate it.

You can follow the procedure in this article to request a refund. And in case you run into any issues, I am tagging this thread now so staff can address any concerns.

I should also add that you do not have to delete your blog in the process. You can just go back to a free WordPress.com blog instead. If you delete your blog, then the name “befoundphotography.wordpress.com” will never be usable again.

See here for more info: https://en.support.wordpress.com/delete-site/

It looks like you’ve cancelled the renewal now. Please let me know if there’s anything more I can help with.
