  I’m trying to setup a site with the free plan and instead I’m getting ringed up with the premium plan.. what’s up??

  Please follow this guide to start a new site:

  https://en.support.wordpress.com/create-a-blog/

  If you want to create a free site select a .wordpress.com address. Selecting a custom domain (e.g. example.com) requires a plan and that’s why you’re getting the Premium plan recommendation.
