  i would pay wordpress a monthly fee ($8) and I would still need a host like hostgator, correct?

  Hi pedicabchicago,

  WordPress.com plans comes with a custom domain name and hosting. You don’t need a host like hostgator. It is billed yearly as well, which means you have to pay for the whole year.

  so its set up as an all in one package? But I can use hostgator if I needed to, and it would a wordpress $8 plus the charges with hostgator lets say $30/month? is that rite?

  Yes it’s set up as all in one package. You don’t have to host with hostgator if you are going for a WordPress.com plan. You may host with hostgator but you will need to use the self hosted WordPress.org site.
