Charges received

Hi. I have received a charge of £22 for domain registration, domain mapping and private registration. When I check my plan on my mobile app is says free and the only domain listed in my domains is my .wordpress.com one. I’m so confused about what I’m being charged for, I don’t remember signing up for another plan. Now my account is flagging up with errors constantly and I can’t seem to speak to anyone directly.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hi there,

The charge was for renewal of your domain, thepoisonedparrotblog.com, which you bought in December 2015.

The warning message you see on your account is because you filed a chargeback against us with your bank. This means you essentially told your bank we stole that money from you and they shouldn’t pay us. It looks like you are being refunded by your bank, though I cannot tell you when that will be.

You can read more about chargebacks and how we handle them here:

    Chargebacks & Disputes

To reactivate your site you will need to pay the chargeback fee on the checkout page here:

    https://wordpress.com/checkout/

After you’ve done that, if you still want the domain, let me know and I’ll send you a payment link to pay for the domain renewal again, and then I can restore it to your account.

Hi there, sorry it’s taken me a while to reply. I didn’t realise I had that domain as it wasn’t listed when I checked. I’ve paid the chargeback fee. Please could you restore the domain and send me a link to pay the domain renewal.

    Thanks.

  • Thank you for paying the fee. I’ve sent you a link to pay for the domain renewal. I’ll be notified when we receive payment, and then I’ll restore your domain and make sure everything is working again.

  • We’ve received your payment, thank you. Your domain is restored and showing your site again. You might need to clear your browser cache before it will work for you.

Please let me know if I can help with anything else.
