  I am wondering if their is any widget available that will let you develop charts with the ability to sort columns?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  No there is not such a widget provided by WordPress.com. Perhaps using Windows Live Writer which has an HTML table maker in it is the way to go.

  Not to be a dumb dumb but if I make it in HTML and then have the HTML widget. How to I get it into the Widget?

  Widgets can only be used in sidbars and footer areas for widgets. If it’s very small and will actually fit into the sidebar width in your theme then you can use a text widget.
