Chat and email are broken. I pay for the Business plan and this is horrible
-
I’m only posting here because I tried to contact support through my WordPress site. I paid $300 for the Business plan which includes being able to chat or email support. I tried several times in different ways to get help. The buttons to start chat or send an email to support just don’t do anything when I click them.
Terrible customer support WordPress, not a good look. I’m super frustrated.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
Our devs are currently looking into this issue since it’s been reported by several other site owners as well. we will update you as soon as we know more.
In the meantime we’re happy to help you here in the forums. Can you tell us a bit more about what you are trying to set up? Thanks for the additional info!

I just purchased WordPress Business on May 17th, however I purchased it for the wrong domain. I want WordPress Business on renew.a2hosted.com not on nyrenew.com.
Can you switch it over for me please?
-
If chat and email support aren’t working correctly, why are they both still an option to contact you right now?
-
-
I suspect some confusion going on here. The reason being – is that renew.a2hosted.co is hosted with a2hosting.com and not with WordPress.com.
Are you looking to add the domain: renew.a2hosted.co to the a2hosting.com installation?
Many thanks in advance, I’m confident we can help with achieving next steps. :)

I understand now. At this point I just want a refund of my WordPress business plan please. I did not use it and I don’t plan to.

Hello!
Thanks for getting back to us. Your Business subscription is outside our 14 days refund window, and we won’t be able to issue a refund for it.
What we can help you with is connecting your custom domain with your site at WordPress.com. You have mentioned that you don’t want nyrenew.com.
What’s the domain you would like to use with your WordPress.com subscription? -
Right now it’s https://renew.a2hosted.com/ but once I’ve completed the website it will be https://renewhopeandhealing.com/

Hi again,
To be sure I understood, you wish to move https://renew.a2hosted.com/ from A2, so that it is instead hosted with our WordPress.com managed hosting (under the Business Plan) yes? Once you move your site here it would be possible to set the address to be renewhopeandhealing.com and this will allow your new WordPress.com Business site to replace the site I see currently at that URL.
If you would like to move an exact copy of your A2 site, you can use our plugin to help with the migration, so it takes just a few clicks on your end and we handle the rest.
The Move to WordPress.com plugin allows you to start migrating a self-hosted WordPress site to WordPress.com directly from the self-hosted site. Prerequisites The Move to WordPress.com plugin installed on your self-hosted WordPress site. Jetpack version 7.9 or higher activated on the self-hosted site. All incompatible plugins deactivated on the self-hosted site. ✅ ThOnce the site has moved, we’re happy to walk you through the process of connecting renewhopeandhealing.com so that it appears correctly as the site address. Thanks!

No, I don’t want to move https://renew.a2hosted.com/ from being hosted by A2. My SEO team would like to utilize the other features that WordPress business has, not the hosting. That’s why I want to move the subscription from nyrenew.com to https://renew.a2hosted.com/ does that make sense?

You can only use a WordPress.com Business plan with a site that is actually hosted here on WordPress.com servers. You can’t utilise the features of a Business plan on a site hosted at some other company.

Then I deserve a refund. I did not use any it at all and I have no use for it in the future.

I’m afraid as the member of staff said higher up this thread, you have gone past the 14 day refund window.
WordPress.com is happy to issue refunds for purchases within our refund timeframes. You can cancel most purchases directly from Upgrades → Purchases in your WordPress.com dashboard. How to Get a Refund You can refund eligible WordPress.com purchases by visiting your Account profile page, through your avatar in the top right corner of your WordPress.com account. This is absolutely ridiculous customer support. First your support chat bot breaks, then I have to find my way to this forum to get help. Just to find out that what I purchased was not what I needed, so I request a refund because I didn’t use the product at all and have no need of it. And now I’m getting zero empathy for this situation, just a hardline rule. Thanks WordPress!
