  is there any chat service that doesn’t use javascript? i need the customer to be able to answer live to the visitors questions.

  The only one I’m aware of that works here at WordPress.com is Pidgin.

  @negalotus, it seems that we have another chat option that didn’t come up in my search originally. See this support page on the Tlk.io widget. I hope one of those will work for you.

  You can also use the 99shoutbox service with the gigya code
  The shoutbox will look like this
