  I was under the impression that the Chateau theme allowed for creating custom menus but it says it allows only 1. Can you help?

  The Chateau theme includes one Custom Menu spot that you can assign by going to your blog’s Dashboard, then Appearance -> Menus.

  If you would like to include more menus you can use the Custom Menu Widget in your sidebar. You can read more about the widget here:
