Chateau Theme – Comments "closed" but I want them open

    I have had my blog for a good while and recently messed about trying some new themes.
    In the end, I went back to my original Chateau theme but somehow the comments aren’t working properly.
    As far as I can see, I have enabled everything on my admin page, and the “Leave a Comment” box is posted with each blog post, but if you click it, and scroll down, you are greeted with “Comments are closed”.

    Can anyone tell me what I’m doing wrong?
